Plan Your Stay

Staying at Hamatethy is intentionally unhurried. This page is here to help you understand how a stay works, what to expect when you arrive, so you can relax into your time here.

What to expect

A relaxed and flexible rhythm

A stay at Hamatethy can be as planned or as spontaneous as you choose. Some guests arrive with a loose outline for each day, while others prefer to see where the land and weather lead them.

Experiences are offered as invitations rather than a schedule, and time naturally alternates between shared moments, quiet rest and time outdoors.

Your stay

Support when you want it

An on-site host is available to welcome guests, share practical guidance and offer support throughout the stay. They are available to answer questions, help coordinate experiences and ensure the house works smoothly, while allowing guests complete privacy.

Before you arrive

What to bring

The land is an important part of the experience, so a little preparation goes a long way.

Throughout the Year

Each season brings a different feel to Hamatethy. Spring is marked by birdsong, fresh growth and new life across the estate. Summer offers long evenings, warm light and time outdoors.

Autumn reveals rich wetland colour and foraging opportunities, while winter brings a slower pace, dramatic skies and time by the fire. The land remains a working rewilding landscape year round, with uneven terrain and natural surfaces underfoot.

Food

Food at Hamatethy is centred on simple, seasonal ingredients. Meat, eggs and some vegetables are produced on the estate, with excellent local suppliers nearby for fish, bread and additional produce.

Guests are welcome to cook together in the kitchen, bring their own plans, or arrange a private chef in advance for special meals and gatherings.
